Monday 9/16/19

Your portfolios are due today.  I expect them to be completely organized

when you walk through the door.  I will check these as you complete the topic 1 guided reading worksheet, "Lesson 1: Atomic Theory".  This covers how we have developed a model of an atom and how that model has changed over time.

Tuesday 9/17/19

The guided reading worksheet for Topic 1, Lesson 1 "Atomic Theory" is due.  We will go over this and try to complete as many PowerPoint slides that we can.  I have a PowerPoint note page for you.  We do not have much time to complete this section so we will FLY through the notes.

Wednesday 9/18/19

You will need the PowerPoint notes, your Topic 1: Lesson 1 Guided Reading, and your text to complete tonight's homework, "Models of the Atom".  Unfortunately, I do not have a pdf of this worksheet.

Thursday 9/19/19

The "Models of the Atom" worksheet is due.

After we grade the worksheet, we will complete the Lesson 1 check on page 13 and the Case study on pages 14 and 15 together.

The homework is Topic 1: Lesson 2 "The Periodic Table" guided reading.

Friday 9/20/19

​

We have a modified schedule today in order to fit in the Constitution Week assembly in the gym at the end of the day.  Each class period will be shortened by about 8 minutes. 

 

1:2 guided reading is due.

​

Worksheet for homework "What is Matter?" This covers parts of the atom and vocabulary

like atomic mass, mass number, atomic number and isotopes.

Unfortunately, I do not have a pdf of this worksheet.
