MAY 11 - MAY 15

This will be the last week of assigned work.  We will complete chapter 7, "Energy in the Atmosphere and Ocean"; section 1,"Energy in the Earth's Atmosphere" starting on page 342.

Normally I would set the start date for this week on the Monday of this week.  I am opening up the start date for this earlier so you can work ahead if you wish.  The due date will still be Friday, May 15th.

If you still have work to complete from the previous weeks, it is not too late to complete it.  I am checking multiple times a day to see what has been turned in (submitted) and what still needs to be completed.  I will update

your TigerView score as work is submitted.  There is no penalty for

completing work after the due date.

Monday 5/11

Read and complete the Chapter 7 introduction on pages 338-341.

Go online and watch the Quest Kickoff: Crossing the Atlantic.  This is not a requirement, but I will indicate your completion of it on TigerView.

Here is a dandy video that helps to describe an electromagnetic wave.  Visible light is an electromagnetic wave and only a small portion of

the EM spectra.

Here is a 30 minute video on the electromagnetic spectrum from PBS.

It is a good one, but longer than I would like.  It starts with visible light.

You might watch the first part for a better understanding of that part

of the spectra that we are most acquainted with.

Tuesday 5/12 - Wednesday 5/13

Read and complete chapter 7 section 1 "Energy and the Earth's Atmosphere" starting on page 342.

Go online and complete the interactivity, "Fluids on the Move".  Again,

this is not a requirement, but recommended.

Thursday 3/14/2020

Complete the lesson 1 check on page 350.

Friday 3/15/20

Go online and complete the 7.1 quiz, "Energy in the Earth's Atmosphere".  This is the required work for this week.  You can complete

it any day and as mentioned, I have opened the start date earlier so you

can even work ahead.
