We have a big week this week; so today we are watching a video.

We will be viewing a Bill Nye documentary, "Bill Nye: Science Guy, One Man's Mission to Make Science Matter".

I think you will really enjoy it!

ANNOUNCEMENT  This week we will be taking an Illinois Science Assessment Test.  This test consists of 3, 40 minute tests on the computer.  The testing will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in computer lab 214.  This test does not affect your science grade, but is a portion of the IAR testing composite.

ALSO, on Friday, we will have the QCA (quarterly common assessment) in science.  This test will cover all of chapter 3 and the first 2 sections of chapter 4. This test DOES affect science grade.

FINALLY, later in March you will be taking the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) starting March 31 - April 2.  This is also a computer based test.  All eighth grade classes will be taking this test with their 4th hour class in one of the computer labs.

Here are some study tools for Friday's QCA.  Remember this one does

count for a science grade.
