2nd, 4th, and 6th have 3.4 guided reading due.  

​

Today is the first day of junk jalopy build.  I will be meeting with each group

today to talk about plans and get an idea of what materials each

group member has brought to the table.  Coming empty handed will 

be grounds for a point deduction.  Remember, attendance is important this week.

You can easily make up one missed day by working extra hard the other three.

If you do not, your score will suffer.  If you miss two or more days, you will be taking 

the unit test instead of completing the junk jalopy project.

I have vocabulary and other handout that might be helpful on the poster

portion of the project.  Some may find it helpful to complete research on the 4 computers in the back.  There are only 4 computers.  This means no more than 8 people (2 per computer) at a time.

​

Each day, you will need to clean up your area by putting all of your materials

in a bag or box and placing it on the green counter.  All tools need to be picked

up and returned to the proper place.  Do not touch or handle any other group's

car or material.  I will deduct points from your group.

Tuesday 2/4/2020

​

Day two of the build.  Your group should have a pretty solid plan going

by today.  The build should be underway by now. If you need 'premium' supplies,

they need to be requested from me.

Wednesday 2/5/2020

​

Day three of the build.  Your group needs to be in the testing phase at this point.

If you need to go back to the drawing board and start over, this should happen today.  Your group should request your poster today.  The poster can be taken home, but it is due on Friday.  If your group does not have the poster on Friday, your group

loses 50 points.  If you are the keeper of the poster, don't be absent Friday!

REMEMBER:  If you have missed 2 or more of the 4 build days for whatever reason,you will be taking the chapter 3 test on Friday.  It will have the same point value, 150 points.

7th hour students:  Due to early dismissal today, your due date is now Monday, 2/10/10.

Thursday 2/6/2020

​

The final day four is today.  Your car must be ready by the end of the hour.  The

completed car should be parked in the designated area for your hour.  Do  not touch

or handle any other group's car.  I will deduct points from your group.

Friday 2/7/2020

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th hours:  All cars AND posters are due today.  Those of you taking the 150 point test, will take it today.

​

We will test each group's car to see if it can go the distance.  Your group will get

three attempts to go the distance.  50 points if it does and 0 points if it does not.

​

7th hour has its final build day today.  We will test cars on Monday.
