We have a modified schedule today to accommodate the afternoon Black History Month assembly.

Are you a Supertaster? Part II lab sheet is due.

We have a reading assignment on twins today.  It is a little different style

of reading than science textbook.  It will be due on Tuesday.

Tuesday 2/25/2020

"The Mysterious Life of Twins" is due.

We have ch 4.3 guided reading, "Genetic Coding and Protein Synthesis"

for homework.

7th hour will have Mrs. Driscoll as a sub today because I need to leave for 

a scholar bowl match at 2:00.  Students will be working all hour.

4.3 guided reading is due.  After we grade it, we will take a brief quiz.

THURSDAY 2/27/20

​

ANNOUNCEMENT  Next week we will be taking an Illinois Science Assessment Test.  This test consists of 3, 40 minute tests on the computer.  The testing will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in one of the computer labs.  This test does not affect your science grade, but is a portion of the IAR testing composite.

​

ALSO, on Friday, we will have the QCA (quarterly common assessment) in science.  This test will cover all of chapter 3 and the first 2 sections of chapter 4. This test DOES affect science grade.

​

FINALLY, you will be taking the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) starting March 30 - April 2.  This is also a computer based test.  All eighth grade classes will be taking this test with their 4th hour class in one of the computer labs.

Friday 2/28/2020

We have a modified schedule today due to the "Younique" assembly at 2:00.

​

4th and 6th hours will be enjoying a popcorn reward party.

​

2nd, 3rd, and 7th hours will be playing "Genetics Bingo" for fabulous prizes.
