2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th will have the Hydrogen gas lab due.  There is also a quiz over this lab.

We will also check the balancing equation worksheet from last week that we did not have time to get to on Thursday.

4th hour will have 2.4 guided reading.

Tuesday 12/10/19

2nd 3rd, 6th and 7th have guided reading 2.4 to complete.  It is due tomorrow

with a brief quiz.  Please see Monday's post for the pdf of that worksheet.

4th has 2.4 due and a quiz over this material.

We also completed the first part of the plastics lab today.  We observed

examples of all 6 types of plastics and wrote down observations for each type.

Wednesday 12/11/12

2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th have 2.4 due with a quiz over this material.

We will also complete the first part of the plastics lab today.  

We will observe examples of all 6 types of plastics and wrote down observations for each type.

4th hour will complete part 2 of the plastics lab.  First we will discuss observations

of each type of plastic from the previous day. Then we will test each type of plastic in liquids of known density to determine the approximate density of each plastic.  For example if it floats in water then its density it less than 1g/ml.  You will then get a plastic information sheet so you can check your values.  How close were your results?

The lab sheet will be due on Thursday.  I do not have a pdf of the lab page, but I do have a pdf of the plastics information page.

Do Not forget that The quarterly assessment is coming up on Thursday 12/19/19.  It will cover sections 4 and 5 of chapter one and ALL of chapter two.  There will be no chapter 2 test because the quarterly assessment covers this and it will count as a grade.

Thursday 12/12/19

2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th have both parts of the plastics lab to complete today,

observing the examples and testing the density of each by comparison.  The

lab page will be due on Friday.

​

4th hour will have the lab page due.  We will then start the review process for the

quarter assessment that's happening on 12/19/19.  We will cover the power point notes for sections 1 and 2.  For homework you need to complete the section 1 

check on page 76 of your text and section 2 check on page 88.  These will be due on

Friday and I will want to stamp YOUR book as evidence it has been completed.

Friday 12/13/19

​

There is a modified schedule today in order to accommodate the holiday concert in the morning.  Classes will be shorter by just a few minutes each.

​

4th hour will be enjoying a popcorn reward party!  This means sections 1 and 2 will be due on Monday.  Don't forget you will need to bring your book to class on Monday with those two sections completed.  (Page 76 and Page 88)  

 

2nd 3rd 6th and 7th will have the lab page due.  We will then start the review process

for the quarter assessment that will take place on 12/19/19.  We will try to cover power point notes for sections 1 and 2 of chapter 2. We might not be able to get through all of it, but we are now in crunch time.  We will cover what we can and you will need to complete the section reviews on page 76 and 88 in your text.  This will be due on Monday.  Bring your book to class with the completed work.  I will stamp it as evidence that it is a.) indeed your book and b.) you actually completed it.  It is for a grade! The power point was posted yesterday.
